Bridge Table

We have just completed another commission for Mckay Securities PLC for a Bridge Table in solid Oak and a pair of cupboards. The original design by Fred Baier was 24 feet long for an Oxford college but has never been made. We have adapted the design (under informal licence with Freddy) to suit either dining or boardroom requirements. It's a top shape as it gives max leg room and max stability. |

The mould that we made to create the Beam Lamination weighs in at approx. 1½ Tons and we always shout for extra manpower whenever we do a casting. 266 x 137 x 75 cms high |

Office Cupboards The cupboards are again crown figured Oak with an inlay of Black Walnut. The contrasting triangles are Brown Burry Oak and accentuate the handles. 180 x 40 x 75 cms high

The Kiss The Kiss is a piece I designed in 1999. It's made in solid English Sycamore, Macassar Ebony and Stainless Steel Balls. The Interior is Birds Eye Maple and the blue colour is a staining technique we developed using boiling water. I've called it Sharkskin Blue as it gives the wood an amazing irridescence. The profile shape of the doors are 2 people kissing each other. The original was designed in Birds Eye Maple and works a bit better. The wild grain of the Ebony slightly detracts from the faces. 101 x 56 x 84 cms high |
