Light Cones with Halogens Burr Poplar Veneer 200cms high x 32cms diameter

| My new work uses single sheets of Veneer which are backed off with a film of plastic giving it flexibility and strength. Formed into hollow cones they contain two 100 watt Halogen lamps which creates an incredible natural "glow", canvassing the grain in the veneer. Available as single lights or in groups, they cost £590 each cone, with discounts for groups. Atmospheric at home, they can also act as eye magnets in a shop window display. | |

Desk Dresser 118cms wide x 56 x 220 Ebony and Sharkskin Blue Sycamore
Macassar Ebony is one of the most beautiful woods and is usually only available in thin strips like 4" x 1". The design of this case, which I have previously used in The Kiss, is ideal for displaying the wood and it is teamed up with English Rippled Sycamore. To get the effect of the iridescent sharkskin blue, I pour boiling water all over the wood to open the grain. This allows the stain to attain a much greater depth, hence the iridescence. |

A detail of the Ebony with stainless steel balls. It's a lightweight design as there is no back or sides to the shelves. There are a pair of book matched drawers for paper and pens, etc. To commission a similar piece in less fancy woods would be approx. £2,250.

Highly Sprung 136cms wide x 96 x 45 high Rustic Oak, Amboyna and Springs
Continuing my "Quivering" series, this Coffee Table is from one piece of Oak with its natural bark. The centre shake is held by 3 dovetail keys made from the off-cuts and inlaid flush. It's as strong as an ox, cool to sit on, put your feet up and, if given a push, it has a rat-a-tat-tat shudder to it. Available at £1,460.
