Jo Hall was a
dear dear friend and a business partner in the 1980's. Sadly Cancer has
robbed his family and this piece attempts to capture some of Jo's
memorable qualities. We bought the log of Ebony together in Germany in
1989 so it seemed appropriate to use it. It measures 90cms high by approx
38 round. I have cut and hammered the 10mm thick plate of copper into this
shape and then doffed it with a peining hammer to create the dappled
effect. The piece is a gift to Vicky, Ella and Genghis.

Showroom Window
This photo shows the left hand side of my showroom with a
group of 4 Light Cones which were all the rage at Christmas. Current sales
are over 35 and rising. The shop and showroom is open weekdays from 9.00am
to 6.00pm and by appointment on Saturdays.

Ebony Coffee
Table
It is made in the
most spectacular Birds Eye Maple and Macassar Ebony. An exciting local
commission which was a joy to make, very clean and uncluttered. I am at
the moment, working on a set of coffee tables centered around the
relationship between the top surface and the shelf or constructional area
underneath. This is the first one in the series. Our current work is the
Reception Area Desk for McKay Securities, some solid Cherry dressers and
some new door facias which I am hoping to sell to a large kitchen
manufacturer. The "Oracle" is also being developed as a website
football game.
